I am thoroughly qualified, well prepared and was honoured to be a candidate for Sorell Mayor in the June 2024 by-election.
A councillor for more than five years, elected in 2018 and again in 2022, I take a thoughtful, practical approach to the many ways Council works to improve people’s lives because communities are healthier, feel safer and businesses thrive when people are proud to contribute and belong.
LOCAL Grew up at Richmond; Dodges Ferry local since 1992; generations of family, school and sporting connections. 15+ years community voice on people-centred planning, safer roads, local jobs for local people, improved public transport, affordable housing, well planned parks and open spaces, heritage and the arts, respect for lived experience.
EXPERIENCED Knows government, business and community development from the inside and out. 30+ years of public sector, company, community, education, business, writing, music, arts, events, sport and 5+ years local government experience.
SKILLED Effective leader at local, state and national levels. University qualified in business, accounting and communication. Governance Institute member, Community Bank director, Australian Neighbourhood Houses & Centres board member, NRM Advisory Group chair.
